FAQs
Questions our Web Designers frequently get asked.
What exactly is the job of a web designer?
Web designers plan, design, and code web pages and websites, whether for a completely new site or to update an existing one.
A web designer is in charge of the design and layout of a website or web pages. He or she employs HTML code, JavaScript, and CSS to create a web page that is both functional and visually appealing to website visitors.

Do you update existing websites?
We most certainly do! We are equally comfortable designing a new website from the ground up as we are redesigning an existing website to improve and update it.
Do you design websites that are mobile-friendly?
Yes. Your website will be fully responsive (adapting to the various screen sizes on which it is displayed) and will look great on all devices. This is not an extra charge; it is included.
How long does it take to build a website?
It all depends on your needs. A simple ‘brochure’ style website can be designed and developed in a few weeks, whereas a large complex website with many features and functions will take much longer. We can discuss your requirements and timelines if you get in touch.
Can I monitor the progress of the website?
Yes, we will design and develop the website on a development/test link, where you will be able to monitor its progress at any time and view it whenever you like.
Can you help us with our recently launched website?
We’d love to, and we’re just as eager for the website to succeed as you are. We can discuss any ongoing support and maintenance assistance you require once the website is up and running, such as increasing search engine visibility, increasing conversions, or staying on top of any additions you require.

Can I make my own changes to the website?
Yes, the website will have a Content Management System (CMS) that will allow you to change the words and images on the website (the content).
We will provide you with all of the training and tools you need to make changes to the website.
Is it possible for you to host my website?
Yes, that is how we prefer it. We host websites on high-performance web servers, so your site performs as well as it looks, but this isn’t a deal breaker if you prefer to host it yourself.
What is SEO and what does it stand for?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and refers to the process of creating and improving a website so that it appears high up in search engine results pages, attracting a large number of visitors.
What is an SSL?
SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is a security protocol that is used to secure a website. When you visit a secure website, the web address begins with https:// rather than http://. Because your interaction with the website is encrypted, hackers will not be able to steal the information you enter.
Google prefers https:// websites; secure websites rank higher than nonsecure websites.
If your website is secure, users will have more faith in it. If you do not have SSL, visitors to your website will see a ‘not secure’ warning.
Which programming languages do you employ when developing websites?
HTML, CSS for styling, and JavaScript for functionality are used to create new websites. All of this is wrapped up in PHP, which we use to connect the web pages to a database, allowing you to manage your own site.
Our websites are built on a customised and adaptable version of WordPress (www.wordpress.com), the world’s most popular open source content management system, which is used by major corporations. It is dependable, adaptable, and extremely robust, and search engines like it.
